Tagsdock is a new 3rd-party keyboard for iOS 8.x that lets you quickly and easily tag your photos and videos on apps like Instagram, Vine or pretty much anywhere. It’s a system-wide keyboard that once enabled, gives you access to a hundreds of readymade hashtags that you can use with a single tap.
When you first launch the app, you are provided the steps to enable the keyboard from Settings. Once enabled, you can invoke Tagsdock in practically any app that offers a text field, but it’s obviously most useful in apps like Instagram, Vine, Facebook or Twitter. Tagsdock contains neatly categorized hashtags. The keyboard’s primary screen displays colorful buttons for categories like Nature, Seasons, Animal, Social Media, People, Celebrations, Family, Art, Architecture, Photography, Food, Fashion, Celebrities, Entertainment, Electonics, Shoutout, Cars, Sports, Travel and Other. Tapping on any of these categories either displays the sub-categories or the various hashtags which you can tap and input into the active field. At the bottom of the keyboard, you’ll fund buttons for Favorites (which you can add from the app), Use All (which enters all the hashtags from the current category, Go Back (to go back one level) and Delete. The hashtags get entered as normal text, so you can edit them to your liking. Unfortunately, Apple’s keyboard switcher on iOS 8 is still terrible and makes the whole experience of using a 3rd party keyboard less than stellar.
Tagsdock is available for $0.99 on the App Store.
