I consider myself a casual gamer. I’ve mentioned in the past that I love to find games that I can pick up and start playing anytime and anywhere, without needing to focus for longer periods. So when I came across Orph this past week, I was naturally hooked. Orph is a puzzle game for iPhone, iPad and Android devices that offers a surreal experience with its design and in-game music.
Orph has a fairly simple objective — get the balls to their right places. The game has about 50 levels and as you progress, not only does the complexity increase, you’re also presented with new variables and a variety of challenges. The first few levels involve a simple line with a gap in it that you have to move to let the balls pass through into their respective areas. As you complete levels, you’re presented with lines that are biased towards a specific color, balls that turn empty so they can pass through lines till you tap them again, balls that pass through lines for 3 seconds, etc. There’s enough variables in the game to keep you hooked quite easily.
I’ve enjoyed playing the game over the last few days. It’s a simple puzzler, but has enough juice to impress anyone. Orph is FREE and is available as a Universal app for iPhone and iPad on the App Store as well as for Android devices on Google Play.
