Super Squares
There’s no shortage of great puzzle games on iOS. Super Squares by Snowman, in collaboration with Marcelo Marfil and Oliver Cameron is the latest addition to this category. The premise is simple. You need to connect colored squares together over dark grey squares while collecting as many stars as you can. There can be no intersections with other colors. The game has lovely animations and sounds and the added gameplay elements at the bottom of the screen that let you destroy bricks among other things add to the fun. The game looks great on iPads and iPhones and even syncs progress across the devices. There are a few in app purchases for additional levels and the gameplay seems heavily inspired from Huebrix. Super Squares is available Free on the App Store.

The entire process is quick and after you’re done you can share your charts directly to Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, email or even save to camera roll. Viz is available on the App Store for $1.99

Convert – Minimalistic Unit Converter
Convert is an iOS 7 ready, minimalistic unit converter that features over 19 categories spread across hundreds of conversion units. The app has some neat sounds and 12 beautiful colour themes that you can choose from, all for free. The grid format for quickly switching between units and categories provides an excellent experience and I definitely prefer it over the table format. I really enjoy using Convert, but at times, the obtrusive full screen ads on my iPhone 4S were annoying. You can always pay the developers a much deserved $0.99 to remove the ads. The app is available Free on the App Store.
