Flamingo for Twitter

Flamingo for Twitter

Sam Ruston, the indie designer & developer from UK behind award winning Android apps like Weather Timeline, Cookbook and Flip — Currency Converter has now brought us Flamingo — a really gorgeous Twitter app for Android.

Much like his other apps, Flamingo sports a bold and striking UI. It’s got a very fun and cheerful feel to it and is one of the nicest Twitter apps for Android that I’ve played with. You can undertake a fair bit of customization from the app’s Settings, including choosing your choice of Theme and Colors, Layout and even an optional Night Mode. It features the three primary tabs (pages) — Timeline, Mentions and DMS, but you can add your own, such as a List or Search timeline. There’s support for multiple accounts, and you can even customize them individually. Love GIFs? Flamingo already offers support for them. There’s also a nifty ‘Activity’ timeline that displays all the likes, retweets and follows on your account.

Although Flamingo is available for download from Google Play , it is fairly new and quite “in beta”. A lot of features that you’re probably used to are missing from the app. However, Flamingo still manages to impress you with its bold nature and it’s sure to catch your attention. You can get for $0.99 from Google Play.
