Imagine a world where you’d never have to carry a physical wallet — where all the payment modes you need were right in your smartphone. With Square’s Card Case, that idea doesn’t seem too distant at all.
After causing a stir in the mobile payments industry, Square — the fantastic service that lets you accept credit-card payments via your mobile device — also launched another product called Card Case. With Card Case, you can walk up to any participating retailer outlet and buy stuff with your name. The app automatically charges the payment to your card on file and you’re automatically delivered a receipt of the transaction. You literally never touch your waller through the entire transaction.
Of course, the app itself is phenomenally beautiful. Featuring a skeuomorphic leather case that houses all your tabs, the app has an exceptional polish and finesse to it. Little animations and transitions add to the lovely experience. Card Case is filled with brilliantly designed elements that looks fabulous on the Retina Display.
The App is available FREE for both iOS and Android on their respective App Stores and requires a Square account. Unfortunately, it’ll only work in a select few cities in the US so folks like me have a long wait ahead before we get to try it.
