The Side: Riposte 1.6

Riposte 1.6

At launch, Riposte was my favourite App.net app. Just like with Unread, Riposte had great in app navigation. When iOS 7 hit, I was pretty disappointed with the Riposte UI update. Riposte 1.6 is now available with a really elegant facelift. The main stream hasn’t changed too much but the iOS 7 design language has been applied throuhout the app now. The sidebar in particular looks really good now and any font changes you make are reflected all over the app. The update also adds support for Jared’s OvershareKit that every social app should use. A number of bugs have also been squashed in the update most notably the one that caused a crash for a user with no name set. Riposte 1.6 is available on the App Store for free and you can unlock additional features with an in app purchase for $2.99.
