The Side: Editorial 1.1 Teaser Editorial is one of the most powerful apps in existence today. I use it everyday and it is even in the Editor’s Choice of 2013. Ole teased Editorial 1.1 a while back and I’ve been using the beta and it is amazing. Editorial already offered insane value for money and now it gets multitudes better. He even made it public that an iPhone version was in the works. Head over to his post here for screenshots and more information on a release time frame. Editorial for iPad is available on the App Store for $4.99.

A few weeks ago, Preshit showed me this app on his phone called Mextures by Merek Davis. I used it for a bit and was really impressed. I assumed it would be your typical filters app that had everything important only available as in app purchases. I was so wrong. I couldn’t believe the amount of stuff the app had and how gorgeous it looked. Fast forward to a few days ago, Mextures 2.0 hit as a free update to the original app, making it one of the best photography apps on the iPhone available today.
I bought Sketch 2 by Bohemian Coding back in April last year and it has been insanely great overall. I’ve personally not experienced any bugs with the main app. Sketch Mirror has been a welcome addition since it launched. Today Sketch 3 and Sketch Mirror 1.1 are available. Sketch 3 for Mac is a brand new app that adds a lot of great stuff to the original Sketch (Sketch 2).

At first, I thought it was just a hyped text editor; but spending a few hours in it showed me otherwise. Writer…
Expires by Jiří Urbášek is a nice little utility to keep track of expiration dates. It can help you by notifying you well before (you specify how much in advance) something expires or before a certain date. The app design is full of subtle but lively animations and a lovely purple throughout. Expires lets you add items and dates very quickly. On first launch it doesn’t load up any tutorial or anything. It displays a nearly empty purple gradient and text telling you to add items that will expire. Tapping the Add Event button at the bottom brings up a…
I discovered ustwo a while back when they launched Whale Trail. Today, they launch their new game, Monument Valley. This has been pretty hyped for a while now. Ustwo even uploaded a behind the scenes video for it. Monument Valley is not just a game. It is inspired by the likes of Windosill, Sword & Sworcery and Fez with an MC Esher twist thrown in.
