Little over a month ago, we published the first Dialogue on the site. This will be a monthly feature where we talk to artists, developers and designers we love. This month’s Dialogue is with none other than Cory Schmitz, a freelance graphic designer and illustrator who has worked with clients like Sony, Microsoft, The Verge and Polygon to name a few. We had the pleasure of interviewing him about his workflow, clients and how he creates things that we can’t stop looking at. The Dialogue is a series that is published exclusively for our members first, so make sure you…

We’ve all had tamagotchis in some form back in the day. I know I have. Even on iOS, I got Hatchi which was basically a virtual pet for your iPhone replicating a Tamagotchi almost perfectly. I think it was well over a year ago when David Lanham teased Hatch, a new loveable pet for your iPhone. Hatch has been created by Impending in partnership with Realmac Software.

Ever since I got my iPad 1 when it launched, I’ve been using a remote desktop app. I used Splashtop until more recently. When iOS 7 shipped I discovered Screens VNC by Edovia and haven’t looked back. When it comes to apps like this, most people would neglect the interface because after all it is all about your computer on the other side, but if the interface isn’t well thought out, things become frustrating. Briefs 1.2 & Briefscase for Android Briefs released a few months ago and it changed the way you wireframe apps. Briefs along with Briefscase for iOS was a complete professional wireframing suite. Stow 2 I reviewed Stow back in August. It has been insanely useful ever since I started using it. It looked great at the time but thanks to iOS 7, it looks dated now. Today Stow 2 launches as a separate app completely redesigned for iOS 7. Stow 2 is also universal and it looks great on iPads. Most of the features from Stow 1 are available for free in Stow 2 but there are some power user features that can be unlocked for a $1.99 in app purchase. Stow Premier allows syncing with TripIt for profiles, syncing across devices…

Interesting for iPhone 2.0 I discovered Mike Rundle’s Interesting thanks to a post by my friend Nate. The app immediately made it to my homescreen. It was the best app to quickly glance through headlines for topics I don’t usually read about, like Entertainment and Politics. It made use of the status bar tint in iOS 6 very well at the time and had some lovely animations. The app was recently updated for iOS 7 with a stunning new look. The sidebar now has a beautiful and playful animation, along with refined categories & typography. Interesting 2 also adds support…
