We’re back this week with another, all new set of apps on the Platter. We’ve been receiving some great feedback about this series and we’ve been implementing the top suggestions into the new design for BP that we’ve begun working on. It’s still a couple of months away, so let’s instead check out the apps this week: Meet the Ipsums Meet the Ipsums is a lovely little project by Tim Holman and Claudio Guglieri that brings toghether all the "Lorem Ipsum" speciality projects and presents them through a very beautifully crafted website and great typography. Instagram & Camera+ are by far two of the most popular 3rd-party camera apps on iOS today. But that hasn’t stopped other developers from working on & releasing their own camera apps with something unique. Apps like VSCO Cam, Camera Noir and Analog Camera do an exceptional job of offering a specific feature and being very good at it. And then there’s Landcam, the newest kid on the block that offers an “I’ve got it all yo!” experience for your iPhone. Landcam is an all-in-one camera & photo editor app for iPhone developed by the folks at Simple Simple Apps,…

For the last month or so, I’ve been testing another app for iPhone that helps track your favorite TV Shows and this one manages to win me over with a really slick UI. Having been a part of its early beta, I’ve seen iShows evolve into its current form today through multiple iterations. The developers have worked on, polished…
Technology today has made it possible for us to easily document our day-to-day lives, either in the form of tiny status updates, high-quality photos or even HD videos. Our smartphones make it incredibly easy to capture some precious moments and cherish them later. But there are some moments that you want to share only with your loved ones in your family. That little family gathering you had last weekend or the photos of your kid’s first birthday — you don’t want to make these public for the world to see and hence usually stay away from places like Facebook or…
I’ve tried and tested several different finance or expense tracking apps on iOS. We’ve written about several good ones here on Beautiful Pixels and continue to come across some amazingly beautiful ones every few weeks. Spendee is the latest expense tracker for iPhone that landed in our inboxes last week and it has been quite fantastically making me log my expenses using it’s scrumptious UI. Spendee’s UI is quite possibly one of the most delicious set of pixels to make its way onto my iPhone ever since Apple demoed iOS 7 at WWDC. The design of the app’s UI seems…
