Back in May this year, Google announced two new apps for messaging and video calling — Allo and Duo. Today, the search giant has released Google Duo into the wild, both for Android and iOS. Google Duo is a pretty simple and straightforward video calling app. It works with your phone number and doesn’t require a Google account. Made by the talented folks at NFN Labs, Storm It lets you collect or compose your ideas down as a continuous note and then automatically splits them into <140 character tweets that are sent out from your account. Hotstar Gains Chromecast Support Hotstar — Star India’s video streaming service that debuted in early 2015 and introduced Premium Subscriptions in April this year, has today updated their iOS app with support for the Chromecast. Up until now, the service was limited to smartphones and tablet devices, or you had to watch everything in a browser. Hotstar currently has the exclusive streaming rights to HBO’s Original Shows, and makes them available for streaming within hours of the US broadcast.
