Panic has long been one of my favorite app developer shops out there. They have crafted some exceptional pieces of software over the last few years, starting with the Mac and then onto iOS, and their apps have made it to our Editor’s Choice of 2012 as well as 2014 lists. They’re responsible for two of the most frequently used apps on my Mac — Transmit and Coda. On iOS, I have had three of their apps powering my work — Transmit, Diet Coda and of course, Prompt 2. Over the last several weeks, I’ve been testing Coda for iOS…

We first told you about Unclutter app for Mac back in February 2013, albeit briefly, in our second issue of The Platter. Unclutter was designed to keep the clutter off your Desktop by giving you a place to temporarily store your clipboard history, files and notes just above your Menubar and it did a stellar job at it. Since then, the developers have added several improvements to it and recently released Unclutter 2 on the Mac App Store. The biggest change in Unclutter 2 is essentially to the three separate apps living inside of it. In the first version, the…

Although there are thousands of to-do or task-oriented apps out there on the App Store, we always find it refreshing when we come across an app like Prio. We love developers who push the boundaries of UI design or try to experiment with their app’s UI instead of sticking to the “Chickenshit white” approach with the release of iOS 7. With Prio, developer Yari D’areglia has crafted something beautiful and slick. Yari is also part of the designer-developer duo behind the Gradient app for Mac. Prio is a simple app to quickly add tasks and then get them done. The…

Annotate is a lovely little iOS app from the house of Driftt that allows you to annotate any images, screenshots or photos. I’ve been using Skitch for iOS for the longest time, but after having played with Annotate, I can say I found it far more interesting and fun to use. When you first launch the app, you are asked to grant it permission to access your Camera and/or Photos. Yes, you can either pick any image from your Camera Roll or snap a fresh one using your camera. Annotate offers six main tools to annotate your images — Arrows,…
