Pixelmator has long been one of our favorite apps available on the Mac. This powerful and native image editor for Mac has continued to evolve over the years and continues to gain some impressive features with every release. Late last year, the Pixelmator Team brought the powerful image editing features to the iOS with the release of Pixelmator for iPad. The app was one of the most outstanding experiences I’d tried on my iPad and Apple even demoed it at their iPad Air 2 launch event. Last week, the Pixelmator Team released version 2.0 for iOS, bringing Pixelmator to the…

Adding a watermark to your photos or images before you share them on the internet has arguably become essential in today’s world. Original creators often don’t get credited for their work, and it is often disheartening to see your work out there being shared millions of times. The only thing worse than getting no credit for your own hard work is seeing someone else getting all the credit for it. Happens on Twitter or Facebook all the time, doesn’t it? Watermarking your photos or images isn’t easy, especially when you have several hundred photos to process. And that’s where Visual…

I used to hate seeing “Tag clouds” on blog sidebars. I think I still do. I never thought word clouds would interest me so much, until I came across Wowed app for iPhone. Wowed (aptly named) is a beautiful iPhone app that lets you create and tweak word clouds that you can then share with anyone. Wowed allows you to automatically create word clouds using Tweets from Twitter, content from Webpages, text on your clipboard or from any words that you manually enter in the app. The Twitter integration is probably the easiest and offers a fascinating look into your…

nvNotes is an elegant plain-text notes app for iPhone and iPad. It’s designed to be minimal and does a great job of staying out of your way, so you can focus on the text contained in the app. I’ve been using nvNotes over the last week and it has replaced Simplenote and Vesper on my phone for the most parts. If you couldn’t already tell, the name nvNotes comes from the brilliantly executed legendary apps like Notational Velocity and nvALT. I used to love using these apps for their simplicity back in the day, but slowly moved to Simplenote, especially…

Dribbble is still a brilliant community of designers and a great source of inspiration for a lot of the new design trends out there. There’s plenty of interesting content that designers post on the site and Dribbble New Tab is a Dribble Chrome Extension to get all the great content right in your Google Chrome browser. As the name suggests, Dribbble New Tab is a chrome extension built by Designerboard that works when you open a new blank tab. It works with the Dribbble API to display a grid of the shots posted on Dribbble. By default, you are shown…

Up until a few years ago, I was a big fan of Birdbrain app, which was a beautifully designed iPhone app that gave you statistical data about your Twitter account, such as the number of followers/following, who followed/unfollowed you, etc. It even made our list of “15 stupendously drop dead gorgeous apps from 2009” back then. However, when Birdbrain 3 came out for iOS 7 with its flat UI, I thought it had lost its charm and along the way, I stopped using it sometime when I reset my iPhone. A few days ago, I came across Stats for Twitter…
