Over the last few days, several apps have been updated for iOS 8 with support for Today widgets, Share sheet extensions and Photos.app extensions. Apps like Calendars 5.5, Omnifocus, Evernote and a couple of betas have excellent Today widgets that are currently dwelling in my Notification Center. Oh, and there’s Teevee 3 as well.
Teevee 3, which went Universal with its last update, has now been updated for iOS 8 with a Today widget. Once enabled, the widget shows you the upcoming episodes for the TV Shows that you have added in the app. It displays the show name, date of airing, the episode number as well as the network it airs on. The developers have mentioned that a more enhanced version of the widget is coming soon. The app has also added interactive notifications, so you can quickly share episodes or mark them as watched without launching the app. There are new sorting options in the app, allowing you to sort alphabetically (or reverse), by air date or by unwatched episode count.
This is a free update to existing users and the app is $2.99 on the App Store.
