Duet.me — A fresh coat of Beautiful Pixels from a Tasty Color Palette

Here’s another beautiful app I personally have little use for, but contains enough beautiful pixels from some wonderful design folks to merit a mention here on Beautiful Pixels.

Duet.me is a beautifully designed iPhone app centered around a simple concept — Do things with the people you love. Brought to you by the folks at Crush + Lovely, Duet lets you propose small “duets” with people in your contact list. It can be something like heading to the park to skate together or something as simple as catching a movie from your favorite genre. You can then interact with the contact using comments, photos and video messages.

The iPhone app contains a very fresh paint of hand-picked colors and these look gorgeous on the screen. The thick tab-bar at the bottom, the elegantly designed buttons and the whole app in general just look fantastic. Knowing the team behind the product, this isn’t surprising at all.

I should probably mention here that Duet.me requires a contact’s phone number in order to propose a duet to him. This essentially makes the app useless for me as there’s only a handful of people I know and have phone numbers of that own an iPhone. This is also why I could not test the full potential of the app.

Duet is available Free on the App Store and has a lovely website up at http://duet.me.
