Gboard for iOS Gets Haptic Feedback
Google has today released an update to Gboard — the Google keyboard app for iOS — that introduces haptic feedback support on iOS devices. Gboard Version 1.4 that is now available for download on the App Store comes along with an option to enable haptic feedback on iPhones, as long as you’ve got an iPhone 7 or newer device.
Feel your keys! You can now enable haptic feedback on key press by going to settings.
It’s weird to think that Apple’s own system keyboard doesn’t offer this feature, but I’ve been trying the option out for about 30 minutes now and I’m not sure if I like it that much. It sure is nice to have, but I don’t think I’ll get used to this, and that tiny space bar on Gboard is a major dealbreaker for me.
