Netflix Enables Offline Viewing

Netflix has just announced that the latest versions of their iOS and Android apps will now feature a ‘Download’ Button, allowing you to save your favourite shows and movies for offline playback.

A quick caveat – this feature is not universal. This means that, for now, only some titles will be available for you to download. Not to worry, however – Orange is the New Black, Narcos and The Crown, among several others, are part of the initial launch. They also promise to add more titles to the list soon. This feature is available on All Plans, so you get the feature regardless of the number of screens you’ve signed up for. You will be given a choice between a ‘Standard Quality’ download, or a ‘Higher Quality’ download.

So, the next time you start to watch a series or a movie, make sure to look out for the ‘Download’ button in the description, and enjoy your favourite Netflix titles on the go. Netflix are a tad late to the game, but better late than never, we say!
