Our thanks to Strophes app for sponsoring this week’s RSS Feed.
Strophes is a simple and well-curated lyrics reader developed by Alfredo Delli Bovi and designed by Gordon Irving. There are a few other apps that offer similar features but Strophes app is beyond doubt the simplest and most beautiful way to read lyrics on your Mac.
When you launch Strophes, the app automatically detects which music player is being used and simply displays the lyrics of the hit you are listening to. Besides the song title, artwork and controls, the User Interface lets you translate an entire lyrics with a single click of the mouse, read the Artist’s biography or search for extra Lyrics.
With its seamless integration with many music players including iTunes, Spotify, Rdio and Radium (soon Sonora and Ecoute too), its Twitter and Facebook sharing functionalities and its optional Safari extension which lets you load lyrics directly from Youtube videos, Strophes is, as Federico Viticci from MacStories puts it, “the best lyrics app I have found on OS X” and it will be an indispensable companion for all music addicts.
The app is available on the Mac App Store for $4.99.
