CoverSutra used to be my favorite Mac utility back in the day, but the lack of development on it meant I somehow stopped using it over the years. Even Bowtie was a nifty little app that brought some lovely themes to your Desktop, but that too faded away into nothingness. Equilibrium is a new Mac App that aims to replace these apps in your life by letting you take control of your Music, be it iTunes, Spotify, Rdio or even Vox.
Equilibrium App is a stunning Mac app that makes it easy to control your music either from the menubar, using your keyboard or even from your Desktop. The app displays the Artwork of the current track being played as well as player controls on the Desktop or as a floating HUD when you click on the menubar window. There are lovely animations when you hover over the Desktop window that transition from Artwork to player controls. It ships with three built-in themes, two of which look really nice on the Desktop. There’s Last.fm integration too, if you’re still scrobbling your music. The app’s preferences lets you customize the keyboard shortcuts to your liking.
Equlibrium looks great and works really well. You can get it from the Mac App Store for just $2.99.
