The Iconfactory Announces Project Phoenix — A Kickstarter Campaign to Revive Twitterrific for macOS

It boggles my mind knowing that I have spent almost ten years on Twitter. I still remember signing up on Twitter on August 15th, 2007, while attending to some tasks I had to finish for Burrp! the next day. Bjango’s Marc Edwards and his Mac App Icon Design Workflow

Marc Edwards has been crafting some exceptional apps at Bjango for many years now. Bjango’s iStat suite of apps is an essential addition to my toolkit. Marc has shared his Mac app icon design workflow on the Bjango website today.

My favourite Mac app icons are simple enough to be easily read in the Dock, yet they contain interesting details when viewed up close. They have large vibrant areas of colour, yet they contain enough contrast and shading to give them a sense of volume.

If you’re a designer or just curious about how Marc designs those beautiful Mac app icons, you should read this.

1Blocker 1.1 for Mac Adds Ability to Search and Filter Your Rules

1Blocker — our favorite content blocker for iOS that made its way to the Mac just last month has today been updated to Version 1.1 that introduces a much needed feature in the app — the ability to search for a specific keyword in the long list of rules that 1Blocker ships with. Just like the iOS app, it’s now possible to find that exact rule you want and enable or disable it. This update also adds the ability to filter rules and adds 9000+ new rules to the existing database.

This is a Free Update to existing users and 1Blocker is available for $4.99 on the Mac App Store. The iOS app, which is available for $2.99, was updated yesterday with these 9000+ new rules and bug fixes.
