Meister is a Custom Typeface for Jägermeister by NM type

NM type is a type foundry made up of a creative collaboration between Noel Pretorius and María Ramos that is known for creating Kinetic, a retail typeface in 2017. For their next project, the duo was tasked to create a Meister — a custom typeface for Jägermeister.

Meister is a new typeface designed by NM type for Jägermeister’s global communication. The custom typeface gives the brand a unique voice in all media channels. There are three key design features that make Meister typeface unique: the 45° angle cuts and diagonal strokes, the flattened curves, and the blocky appearance.

The typeface is part of Jägermeister’s new global identity and advertising campaign, marking the first major rebrand in its history. The creative platform by ad agency Opperman Weiss ‘Be the Meister’ is currently being rolled out worldwide in TVC, print and web.

I’m off to take a shot.

Medium’s App Update Makes Blogging Even Better

Medium’s blogging interface is one of the finest out there, and their platform is also one of the most popular. With their latest update, the good folks over at Medium have made Mobile Blogging even easier and concurrently, more powerful.

A highlight feature is the ability to create image grids on their iOS and Android apps. This allows you to add more than a single photo to your post, without sacrificing legibility or style. Tapping on the image thumbnails in this grid will open them up, for your fullscreen-viewing pleasure.

Other features included with this update are inline code blocks, drag-and-drop for images in your post, and more sources to embed content from. Bloggers on Medium, rejoice! The new app update removes several impediments between your thoughts and the rest of the world.

NeuBible Comes to the iPad

NeuBible is a stunning and absolutely gorgeous bible app for iPhone that we’d featured here on Beautiful Pixels back in May 2015. Back then, Mikhail only had high praises to sing about the app. NeuBible is not only the best looking Bible app out there, but it is the best looking reading app, and I think I enjoy its looks way more [...]
