I love to come across side-projects from designers and developers. They’re a great way of showcasing their talent, experimenting with new technologies or just a way of offering something freely to the community. Just a few days ago, we featured SellAFile, which is a side-project that lets you sell any downloadable files using your Stripe account. Today, we’re featuring Dribbbox.
As the title says, Dribbbox lets you host your own portfolio website powered by Dribbble. It’s a side-project by Benjamin De Cock, who’s known for Kickoff app and now works as the User Interface Designer at Stripe. Dribbbox is absolutely stunning. It uses some intricate JS animations that make the interface lively. You can view a demo website here.
Dribbox is a self-hosted solution — meaning you can download the files and host them on your own server, using your own domain. Benjamin is also offering it completely free, so there’s no ongoing subscription or any kind of payment involved. If you’re a designer who actively posts your work on Dribbble, you should definitely check Dribbbox out.
