Moe Salih has crafted this spiffy and minimal mini-site for browsing the content on Wikipedia. Wikipedia has a vast collection of information and there’s hardly any topic that you’ll find missing on there. However, the design and layout of the website is far from elegant. Apps like das Referenz on iOS help you remove all the clutter and focus on the actual content with great typography. Similarly, Moe’s mini-site attempts to bring that elegance to any modern web-browser.
This Wikipedia redesign vastly improves the reading experience for you. The font size is larger and the page uses a Serif type. The sidebar has been removed and the contrast has been tweaked to improve clarity. Overall, the site offers a much, much better way to access the content on Wikipedia.
Moe maintains that this is just a concept, though, so some features are not yet supported and custom formatting on some pages might look wonky. He’s definitely open to feedback, so take a look at the site and let him know what you think.
