Setlist is a simple app for iPhone that lets you discover shows by your favorite artists. Powered by Rdio, the app pulls data about the artists and songs you like listening listening to and then finds any shows by those artist in the city of your choice.
Setlist features a very simple & clean UI with a complementing elegant color scheme. The listed content is neatly laid out, so it’s very easy to quickly go through the list of shows and take your pick. It’s also pretty responsive and comes in a tiny little package of 1.7MB. An integrated map shows you the location of the show venue.
Once you have picked a show that you’re interested in, Setlist pulls up the event and ticket information from Songkick, though I wish this wasn’t just an integrated web view. You can share the shows to the usual places if you like and even add events directly to your calendar. You can add multiple cities to the watch list and keep an eye on any shows in case you travel a lot.
Note that while the app is powered by Rdio, it doesn’t require you to log into an account. It just needs a username to pull the relevant data, so you can even add your friend’s account if he shares the same likes as you. Setlist is available for $0.99 on the App Store.
