Pinswift 1.1
I got to know about Pinswift by Joel Carranza for Pinboard when Viticci said it was the app that replaced all the other Pinboard apps on his phone and made it to his homescreen. Pinswift received a huge update recently and it is now a universal app. Pinswift’s navigation and bookmark actions make it really great. Swiping a bookmark to the left brings up the share sheet and swiping it to the right brings up a bookmark view in the middle of the screen. This lets you edit, delete or mark the bookmark as read while it displays a short summary of the bookmark title and description. The Pinboard glyph on the top right lets you navigate to other sections. Pinswift’s search is really accurate and fast. 3rd party apps are having to resort to bookmarklets to work well with mobile safari thanks to Apple’s restrictions. Pinswift has a bookmarklet setup available. On the iPad Pinswift lacks a dual pane layout but it does have sharing options to send your bookmarks to apps like Omnifocus or open links in the 1Password browser. Pinswift is a powerful Pinboard client for your iOS device and it is available on the App Store for $4.99. I really like the icon as well. It suits the app name perfectly.
