Design Shots made its debut on the App Store in January 2014 as a simple, free app to browse the beautiful shots posted on Dribbble. It was quite limited in features, but with a minimal & elegant UI, it had the right start. We first wrote about Design Shots in our Platter served on February 9th, 2014. Since then, the app has received two notable updates and has turned into a pretty solid app to browse Dribbble.
In its most recent update (version 2.1) that was released on May 15, Design Shots was updated to include detailed information about player profiles. When you tap on their avatar, you are presented with a lovingly designed screen that lists their follower/following count, their Likes and the shots they’ve posted on Dribbble. You can also tap the respective glyphs to visit their website or Twitter profile. The devs have also reworked the animations in the app and introduced a few new ones, so the experience has vastly improved since the first version. You can easily share shots to additional services added in this version, including Pocket and Google+. Design Shots lets you add your own Dribble username, so you can browse your own shots or the ones you’ve liked.
Design Shots is available Free on the App Store for iPhone and iPod touch.
