Fever is well regarded as the best way to manage RSS, allowing you to sift through stories instead of individual articles on individual sites. However, it’s crutch was that it didn’t have a native iPhone or iPad client, forcing many to use Google Reader with a client like Reeder. I think Fever° has achieved that user base that has prompted the creation of its first third party native iPad app — Ashes.
Bringing the first native iPad app built on the Fever API from Shaun Inman’s Fever° webapp, Ashes is a slick RSS reader that allows you to burn through your feeds by seeing hot, trending topics. Read articles in a built-in browser, send them by email, and save them to Instapaper. Syncing with Fever°, Ashes works perfectly online and offline. Ashes is the best way to keep up on the news that matters most to you.
I don’t need to tell you it looks gorgeous, now do I? I personally don’t use Fever°, but we’ll have a full review of this app on SA as soon as we’re done with thoroughly testing it out. Ashes costs $6.99 at the App Store.
