I Do Lists is a very minimal, elegant and clean ‘Lists’ app from the folks at Eight Thumbs. The app is ridiculously simple and straightforward, allowing you to quickly and easily add new lists and news items in your lists. The interface uses Helvetica and has a very clean and smart look to it. The icon too maintains the same refreshing look to it.
I was curious about how the developers came up with the name “I Do Lists” instead of going for something like “Helvetilists” or “Listvetica”, so here’s what they had to say.
We were trying to think of a name that conveyed that the app is designed for making any kind of list, not just to-do lists. So rather than things “To Do”, we thought of things that “I Do”. It’s also a joke based on that people sometimes say “I Do” when they get married, like you’re making a commitment to the things on your lists.
I Do Lists has a ‘Free, with Ads‘ version available on the App Store and the option to remove ads will cost you $3.99.
