The fine folks at noidentity are no strangers to design. We’ve already featured ListBook here on Beautiful Pixels and their other two books apps, MoneyBook and BudgetBook carry some fine pixels as well. The duo is at it again with the release of their fourth app — Yearly.
Yearly app is a gorgeous collection of pixels that reads and imports your Address Book and presents a superb overview as a list of contacts with upcoming birthdays or anniversaries. Yearly will also remind you via a notification at the time you specify in the settings.
Yearly also tells you how many more days are left for the date as well as gives you information about the contact’s zodiac sign. Swiping across each cell gives you the option to either call the person, email or SMS him. I love that you can swipe both left to right and right to left and the cell does exactly that.
Unfortunately, there is no way to add new dates from the app itself, you have to do it via the native Contacts app. Yearly is one of the few apps that do one thing, but do it well. The presentation of the contact list and the detail page is beautiful and the view animations are classy. At $0.99 on the App Store, as Patrick would say, “it’s a pretty sweet deal”.
