A majority of people I know have either transitioned over to Reeder — the fantastic RSS Reader app for iPhone, iPad and Mac, or Flipboard — the excellent magazine-style iPad app. So was there any space left in the market for another entrant? There sure was, at least the developer of Mr. Reader thought so. And I’m glad he did.
Mr. Reader is a powerful RSS news reader app for the iPad that synchronizes with Google Reader & brings the full functionality on your iPad. It takes a very elegant and aesthetic approach in its design and is just as functional. It features a host of sharing options, including some that I’d never heard of before. There are 4 themes (color schemes) to choose from. Mr. Reader works great both in landscape mode as well as portrait and has an brilliant article view that can easily toggle between the original RSS Feed, Web (Embedded Web view), (Google’s) Mobilizer and Readability. You can even change the font-family and font-size for this view.
Mr. Reader is a great option for RSS apps available on the App Store and sells for just $3.99. Going by the App Store reviews and what’ve been hearing, the developer is open to suggestions and often quick to implement them. Go download it if you haven’t already.
