Filtry Pro
Filtry Pro is a chrome-less photo editing app for iPhone. When you launch the app, it presents you with a slider to choose between clicking a new photo with the camera or picking one from the Camera Roll. Next, it shows you a preview of the photo with the filter applied. You swipe on the photo to change the filters — and there are a lot of them. Once set, you double-tap to view the sharing options. Filtry Pro is available Free on the App Store
Shares
Shares is a super simple app that promises to offer the fastest way of uploading, sharing & embedding images via Flickr. It offers one tap uploading of images to Flickr and then gives you options to copy the direct URL, HTML or Markdown code to clipboard at different sizes. Unfortunately, Shares only works with a Flickr account. It is available on the App Store for $1.99.
Inlight App
Inlight is a lovely iPhone app built to provide you with smart, inspirational and enjoyable articles on lifestyle and other general topics. The app uses a unique UI consisting of cards that display stories with gorgeous images used as article headers. The app has been designed specially for iOS 7 and uses colours and animations really well. I did experience little lag during some animations though. Inlight is available for Free on the App Store. You should definitely check it out. The app also has a beautiful website that I recommend checking out.
Polygon’s PC Buying Guide
Polygon has impressed us before with their stunning designs and their PC Buying Guide design doesn’t disappoint. The guide has been crafted to help you build your ideal gaming PC. You can choose among high-end, budget and boutique PCs and get further details on specific processors, graphics, motherboards, etc. Each page on the guide has a beautiful colour scheme with a slight gradient from top to bottom that looks amazing on all devices. Polygon’s PC Buying Guide also has recommendations for peripherals that you can add to your gaming PC. I’m sure this won’t be the last time we feature Polygon on Beautiful Pixels.
Week Calendar
Week calendar for iPhone is as simple or as robust as you want. The app can serve as a basic calendar.app replacement or be so much more. The interface is minimal and there are a variety of viewing options for your events ranging from a week mode to a full year being visible on the screen at once. Week Calendar also supports the landscape orientation. There are in app purchases for national holidays and other events available in the calendar store within the app. The ability to tap and drag across events is really great. Week Calendar is available for only $1.99 on the App Store and is an absolute steal at the price.
Muzei Extensions
As with Dash Clock, Muzei has already gotten quite a few extensions available for photo sources. There’s an extension to pull from 500px and even one to pull from a specific subreddit. Our favourite one is the Flickr extension that lets you select users and Mikhail has obviously set it to pull from Romain Guy’s Flickr account. If you’re too lazy to set it to pull from his account, you can use the Romain Guy Muzei extension that does it for you.
