Coffee lovers have always had their share of great looking apps on App Store thanks to apps like Barista and Spro while the Tea loving population was ignored. Not anymore. Tea, an app made by Samuel Iglesias and Mac Tyler gives you all that you need to brew that perfect cup of tea.
The best software is created when you are trying to satisfy a personal need. Samuel, an avid tea drinker himself needed an way to organize his tinkering and that’s how Tea was born.
Tea has one of the most beautiful icons I have ever seen. The icon, a tea bag is extremely detailed and life like. It is evident that the designer has taken painstaking effort to create such a stunning icon.
The app has a very polished and smooth UI. The movement of the pointer in the ‘Set Brew’ section as you move from one section to another, the brew timer look and work beautifully. The Info and History screens look particularly nice with custom icons. After you finish brewing a cup and return to the main screen, a small ‘1’ leaves the cup denoting depletion of stock. It’s one of those small things that will make you smile.
