Exactly 2 years and 2 days ago, we showcased an absolutely gorgeous iPhone app for tea lovers. Much like the drink itself, everything about the app was delicious and we loved it. Now, two years after the initial release, the developers have released version 2.0 on the App Store which brings along a ton of mouth-watering new features.
The most notable feature in this release is the Tea Encyclopedia that comes bundled with the app. There’s a long list of teas along with information like place of origin, the harvest season, freshness window, processing method, quality indicators, overbrewed characteristics & brewing suggestions. I for one had no idea there were so many different types of teas. If you find something that you like, you can quickly set a reminder so you can try the tea sometime later. The design of the app has also undergone ample refreshment, so you’ll notice a lot of polish in different areas. When you have two or more teas added in the app, you can create a blend as well now. There’s a lovely animation in the app when specifying the parts for the blend. This version includes the ability to add photos of your brews and easily share them to the usual places when you’re done.
Tea still maintains its gorgeous UI and adds a bunch of features with this update. If you are a tea lover, Tea app is just $1.99 on the App Store.
