Time Zones are tricky, but you already know that, don’t you? We’ve written about several time zone converters here on Beautiful Pixels already, and yet there’s always a new app that comes along and manages to delight us. And that’s exactly what Zones did. Zones is a very simple world clock and time zone converter for iPhone. An app by Tom Izaks, Zones got a big 2.0 update today and completely revamps the app with a new design and a bunch of delightful features and themes. I’ve been using the app for a little over a week now. The main…

Twitterrific for iOS v5.17.1 Twitterrific — the popular Twitter client for iOS has introduced alternative app icons in their latest version. If you’re running iOS 10.3+, you can now customize the app icon from any of the four options. My personal favorite is the fourth one. This feature was actually submitted along with other improvements as Version 5.17, but Apple rejected the app and the folks at The Iconfactory had to ship the version without the alternative app icons. Thankfully, the review team got back to their senses and this feature is now available. Talking about icons, have you checked…

WeDo’s Wunderlist Importer WeDo is the fantastic Social Task Manager app that we wrote about just last month. After Microsoft unveiled ‘Microsoft Todo’ — a refreshing successor to Wunderlist (which it acquired in 2015) last month, the company also announced that it would be eventually shutting Wunderlist down. This didn’t sit well with a lot of Wunderlist users, as Microsoft Todo is missing most of the features that they loved in Wunderlist. Taking advantage of this opportunity, WeDo has announced a Wunderlist Importer that lets you import all your data, including shared lists, into WeDo. Better yet, you also get…

Annotable has been updated to version 2.0 today and this version introduces some fantastic improvements to the app, making it the ultimate app to have on your iOS device. Developed by Moke LLC, Annotable 2.0 ships with a bunch of tools that you can use on your images. It includes crop, loupe, spotlight, highlight, and pixelate tools, along with powerful tools for shapes and text. Today’s update lets you customize your toolbox, so you can…

Bumpr is a nifty utility for macOS that lets you choose where you want to open the link you’ve just clicked on. There’s a very good chance you have at least two browsers installed on your Mac and even more emails apps, considering just how many mail clients have made their debut in recent years after Sparrow. On my Mac, I have the Safari and Chrome browsers installed and 5 different emails apps, 3 of which I use regularly. To open a link in a non-default app, I have to copy the link and then open the app I want…

Even after the release of iOS 8, the whole thing with organizing screenshots on your iOS device is still a terrible experience. Your screenshots still end up directly into your Camera Roll, cluttering up your feed of Photos taken and images saved. There are apps like Screenshot Journal and Screenshotter that help you in organizing your screenshots. However, if you’re only looking to quickly delete any old screenshots you have in your Camera Roll, there’s nothing better than Screeny. Screeny is a simple & tiny utility app that helps you make some space on your device by finding and deleting…
