Evernote — the once de-facto name among note-taking apps has today introduced version 8.0 for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. This update introduces a wholly redesigned interface as well as a rethinking of the feature-set, and is a complete departure from the previous versions that had become too convoluted with needless, largely business-focused features. Simplenote for iOS v4.4.2 Automattic has just released Simplenote v4.4.2 on the App Store that introduces Spotlight Search integration in the app. You can now easily look up your notes directly from the homescreen instead of launching the app. The developers have also made some interface tweaks in the app and looking at the changes, I’m really hoping these are rolled back. Telegram Desktop Matures to v1.0 For a while now, Telegram has offered the choice of two different versions for using the service to chat on your Mac — a native Mac app simply called “Telegram” and a cross-platform version called Telegram Desktop that shares its code and works across Windows and Linux platforms as well. The latter has today reached a milestone with version 1.0. Today’s release introduces a new design, refined animations and support for custom themes. It is available for Free from the Mac App Store or directly from the Telegram website.
