Quran Reader is a beautifully designed app for the iPhone featuring an interactive approach towards reading, studying and listening to the holy book Quran.
Designed by the very talented designer Bandar Raffah and developed by Batoul Apps, Quran Reader gives you various ways to consume the Quran. The app features some gorgeously laid down typography on every page and is just stunning to look at. If you’re not too fond of reading, you can even use the app’s verse-by-verse recitation feature. Yep, there’s background audio too. Other features of the app include full text search, bookmarks, zoom via landscape support and English and Fresh translations.
I actually happened to come across Quran Reader back in August via Kyle on Twitter. The app has been available on the App Store for a while now, but the dev had just launched v3.0 and its UI was too stunning to be missed. The beautifully laid out text and the script, the glyphs used in the app and the colors are incredibly elegant to look at. There’s also an HD version for the iPad if you’re interested.
