Delivered! is a minimal package tracking app made by the folks at MADE@SAMPA. The app originated in Brazil as Chegou? and was chosen by Apple as one of the ‘Best of 2012’ in the Hidden Gems category. While Chegou? retained its place on the App Store, the developers also created Delivered! a separate Universal app focussing on package deliveries from around the globe.
On launching Delivered!, you will instantly notice the app’s navigation bar and status bar, which have been beautifully crafted to look like airmail envelopes from yesteryear. The ‘home view’ of the app displays a list of all your Packages. This list can be filtered into 3 categories; Delivered, All and Waiting. If you tend to order a large number of items, managing them using these filters will be extremely helpful. Each list item has a glyph that indicates the current status of a package. Tapping on a package in the ‘home view’ takes you to the detail view that displays the shipment time, date, location and status of that package. To add a new package, you can simply tap on the ‘+’ on the top right and fill in the Code and Name for your package. The action sheet that pops up while adding a new package causes a blur on the background ‘home view’ and moves slightly with respect to your iPhone’s movement following the parallax effect. When adding a new package, the app automatically pastes the content of your clipboard in the Code section saving you the trouble of manually entering a lengthy sequence of numbers and letters. You can search for a particular package by tapping on the search button on the right of the ‘+’ in the navigation bar. A sublime and clever little animation causes the + button to animate into an x when you tap on the search bar, prompting the user that the same button can now be used to cancel the search. The app notifies you when your shipment has been dispatched or delivered. These notifications can be turned off by accessing the in-app settings.
Delivered! also supports iCloud sync between your iOS devices, which worked flawlessly for me. Whether you find yourself struggling with tracking your deliveries through specific delivery services or you just want to aggregate all your packages in one elegant app, you should check out Delivered!. It is Free on the App Store and offers an in-app purchase if you want to add more than 2 packages.
