Who would ever have thought that something as boring as creating invoices—for that matter anything finance related—would become a pleasurable task? The Invoice Machine by Bombia Design, is one of the most beautiful financial applications right now—and it’s all on the web!
I first saw The Invoicing Machine months ago, when Preshit was setting up some sort of accounting system for our administration. Months later I remembered the app, but couldn’t remember the name. Turns out an I’m Feeling Lucky search for “beautiful invoicing web app” takes you right to Invoicing Machine.
Invoicing Machine allows you to add clients, track projects (including time billing), manage an inventory of services, and most of all, easily create and send invoices. ‘The Machine’ has the most fluid, intuitive, and fast web interface I’ve ever seen. Right in your invoices tab, the + button hangs out as if to say click me. Click it and the form changes instantly. If you need to add a client midway, there’s no need to leave the form, the client entry form slides in.
I haven’t explored the app in its entirety, nor have I actually used it to send an invoice to a real client. At BP we don’t do reviews in the traditional sense, so there might be something the app is hiding behind all that pixel polish. I’m just lusting over that gorgeous UI, and I highly suggest you sign up for a free account and give it a run yourself. Who knows it might just be the most powerful invoicing app on the web as well! [Before I get killed for bad journalism, you must check out Ballpark as well, which might just offer The Machine a run for its money]
