Since we’re talking about menubar task managers, I might as well make this crowd aware of Todolicious from Mustacheware. It doesn’t look as shiny as Tictoc, but has a far more functional UI — where in this case function is a ‘stay out of my way’ workflow. To add new tasks you simply hit a global shortcut and enter them in super large text — quickest possible UI, ever. And looking at tasks is just a basic list with checkboxes. Look at that screenshot. That’s Dring, a ringtone creation app from Wake apps. It’s hot, as you can tell. Gorgeous icon, too. I can’t say more because I didn’t have an iPhone 4 to test it on, but I don’t think you could go wrong with that UI. The guy behind this artistry is Julien Martin (@julienmartin_) who I hadn’t heard of before, but I’m definitely going to keep an eye on from now on. $0.99 at the App Store.
