Affinity Photo’s Windows Beta is a Godsend for PC Photographers

It’s all happening for Microsoft fans – First, the amazing Surface Studio was announced. Hot on the heels of this announcement, comes the news that Serif is launching a Beta for its 2015 Apple Mac App of the Year Award-winning pro imaging software for Windows, and what’s more, that it’s completely free for the duration of the Beta.

The best news of all is that the Beta (and, of course, the final software) will feature complete feature parity with the Mac app. The Windows app will also share the same backend, meaning that files on both platforms will be 100% compatible with each other. What amazed us the most, however, was that the Windows Beta will, in actual fact, gain some features before they are launched on version 1.5 of the Mac app, including HDR Merge, Batch Processing and Macros, to name a few.

Serif promises to launch a new build at least every week, so bugs should get squashed soon, and quick. We encourage you to give the Beta a spin. If you’re on the Mac, and don’t already have this award-winning Image Processing app, you can grab it from the Mac App Store here.
